Social Development Week 2006

With the theme "Kasali Ka, Sumali Ka!," this year's Social Development Week celebrations will be held from November 27 - 30 at the Glorietta Activity Center, Makati City. The theme calls calls for a stronger partnership among non-government organizations (NGOs), people's organizations (POs), government, and the private sector towards promoting development in our country. It is an invitation for everyone to do his or her share in helping build a brighter future for Filipinos.

The SDW is an annual event hosted by the Caucus of Development NGO networks (CODE-NGO), in partnership with the Peace and Equity Foundation (PEF), Inc. designed to continuously strengthen the efforts of its member networks and its partner institutions. This 4-day activity is also part of a commitment to spread awareness on and involvement in social development work. Social development work is founded on capacity-building, livelihood promotion and community organizing among the underprivileged sectors of our society.
