Four-day work week for all PEF offices

PEF will be implementing a four-day work week scheme in all PEF Offices (Main and Regional Offices) from May 17 to July 2, 2010. This means that PEF offices are open only from Monday to Thursday, on regular working hours.  However, in view of the Independence Day holiday on June 14, 2010, PEF Offices will be open on Friday, June 18, 2010.

This is the second year we are implementing this scheme around the summer season.  As with our objectives last year, we shall adopt a four-day work week as a means to respond to three concerns within and outside PEF:

  1. As a cost cutting measure to save energy costs.
  2. As an employee wellness program to increase staff productivity
  3. As a pro-environment move to lessen our carbon footprints in terms of fossil fuel expenditure for transportation, electricity and water consumption.

As with last year’s implementation, we will be evaluating this scheme towards the end of June. Thus, any feedback from our clients and partners will be most welcome. You can send your comments
